Profile and username

Update your name, photo, and email from the Settings page.

Your profile is your username, your photo, and a few preferences about how the app talks to you.

You have one name, not two. Your username is the name in your own sidebar and the name on anything you publish to the Library — the same name in both places, so what other people call you is what you see every day.

Where to find it

Open Settings — the gear icon next to your name at the bottom of the sidebar on desktop, or tap More in the bottom bar and then your name on phone. Settings opens as a page, and it lands on Profile. A row of pills across the top takes you to any other section in one click; on a narrow window they scroll sideways. Or go directly to /settings/profile.

What you can edit

  • Username — 3 to 24 characters. Letters, digits, spaces, and - _ . are allowed. It must be unique, so the field tells you while you type whether the one you want is free. It has its own Save button and saves on its own, separately from the rest of the form.
  • Photo URL — a link to a square image, shown as your avatar in the sidebar and on cards. Leave it empty and you get your initials instead.
  • About — a sentence about what you track.
  • Timezone, Time format, Voice input language — how the app shows times and which language it expects when you dictate.

Your email is shown at the top but is not editable here — it is the address you sign in with. Reset your password any time via Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.

Changing your username

You can change it once every 30 days. The field tells you how many days are left and stays read-only until then.

The limit exists because your username is stamped on everything you have published. Without it, someone could publish under one name and then quietly become someone else.

Sign out

Sign out from the bottom of the main sidebar in any app surface. Your session is cleared and you're returned to the landing page.

Privacy

Your Entries are private by default. Row-level security on the database means even with the right URL, nothing you've logged is readable by anyone but you. Sharing of Collections or Entries with other users is on the roadmap for v2 — when it ships, sharing will always be opt-in and revocable per item.
