Record runs and sync a wearable
A Running collection of your own that fills in from your watch, with route, splits and pace on every run.
You will build one Running collection and let your Fitbit fill it. Runs you log by hand land in the same place and read the same way.
Make your Running collection
Create a Collection and name it Running. Go to + Add a property and pick GPS distance from the Special tracking group.
Kaizendex offers companion properties, already checked: Distance (km), Duration, Pace, heart rate, Active Calories and Elevation Gain. Keep the ones you want.
The name matters: the watch sync adopts a collection called "Running" instead of making a second one. See Recording runs.
Connect your watch
- Go to Settings → Plugins and open Google Health.
- Tap Connect.
- Sign in with the Google account linked to your Fitbit and approve access.
You come back connected, and your history starts to sync in the background. Sleep and heart rate get their own collections too. See Connecting Fitbit or Google Health.
Send runs to your collection
On the Google Health page, find Data streams. On the Running row, use the collection picker to pick your Running collection if it is not picked already.
Sync is automatic. You see Auto-sync on and the last run time. Tap Sync now to get a new run at once.
A synced run arrives whole: route, splits per kilometre, elevation profile, and a heart-rate line along the route.
Log a run without a watch
Tell the chat "ran 4 km in 29 minutes", or press + and fill in Distance (km) and Duration yourself.
You never type the pace. Pace works itself out from Duration and Distance on every run, synced or typed.
Got the time wrong? Duration is a Stopwatch. Open the run and tap its time to open the session editor, then fix the start and end.
Read your run
The card shows your route as a map, then distance, time and pace as three big figures.
Open a run to see the route, a bar chart of your pace per kilometre, and the elevation profile. To hide splits or elevation, open the GPS distance property's settings and use Recording shows.
If your watch connection expires, the plugin shows Reconnect needed. Open its ⋯ menu and tap Reconnect.
