Notifications

Stay in the loop — get notified when your agent sends a scheduled message or when something needs your attention, with push notifications that reach you even when the app is closed.

Kaizendex keeps you informed with notifications — messages from your agents or reminders about your data. They arrive in the app and (if enabled) as push notifications on your device, so you never miss something important.

Where notifications appear

You'll see notifications in three places:

  1. The bell in the sidebar — shows a badge number when you have unread notifications. Tap it to open the inbox and see them all.
  2. In the agent's chat — when an agent sends you a scheduled message, it appears as a new message right there.
  3. Push notification on your device (if enabled) — a banner that arrives even with the app closed, like a text or email.

Read state syncs across devices

When you read a notification on one device, it's marked as read on all your devices. The bell badge clears everywhere within a second (assuming you're connected), so you'll never chase a stale notification.

Enable push notifications

To get notifications even when the app is closed, you need to enable push notifications:

  1. Open Settings (the gear icon in the sidebar).
  2. Choose Notifications.
  3. Tap Enable push notifications.
  4. Your browser (or device) will ask for permission — choose Allow.

That's it. From now on, messages will reach you even if you close Kaizendex.

On iPhone: add Kaizendex to your home screen first

iPhones have an extra step. Before you can get push notifications, Kaizendex must be installed as an app on your home screen:

  1. Open Kaizendex in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (bottom middle).
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add to confirm.

Kaizendex now appears as an app icon on your home screen. Open it from there, then follow the push-notification steps above.

On Android

On Android, if you're using Chrome, the browser may offer to install the app automatically — look for an Install app option in the menu. Alternatively, tap the menu and choose Add to home screen. Push will work once installed and enabled.

Master notifications toggle

You can turn off all notifications in one place:

  1. Settings → Notifications.
  2. Toggle Notifications off.

When off, you won't get push notifications or pop-ups. Your agents still run their scheduled tasks and their messages still land in the chat and collect quietly in the bell inbox — you just won't be interrupted. Turn it back on any time.

Unread badges

The bell shows a number — the count of unread notifications. Tap the bell to see them. Clicking a notification (or the deep link in a push) opens the relevant chat or page and marks it as read.

Desktop app

If you're using the Kaizendex desktop app on macOS, notifications appear as native banners while the app is running. The bell in the app also works the same way — same read state, same inbox.
