Teaching your AI skills

Skills are reusable instructions you give your AI coach — a repeatable way of working it applies whenever it's relevant.

A skill is a short, reusable instruction you teach your AI — a repeatable way of working it can apply across conversations. "When I log a meal, nudge me toward my protein target." "Keep replies to two sentences." "Always suggest a 10-minute warm-up before a workout."

Skills live in the Skills area of the Memory tab — open AI in the sidebar, then Memory.

Creating a skill

Tap New skill and fill in:

  • Name — a short label ("Macro coach").
  • Description — one line. Your AI sees this in its toolkit every chat, so it knows when the skill applies.
  • Instructions — the full detail. The AI loads this only when it decides to use the skill, so you can be as thorough as you like.

Save it and it's on by default.

Turning skills on and off

Each skill has an Enable / Disable toggle. Only enabled skills are in your AI's toolkit — disable one to pause it without deleting it. Edit to refine it, Delete to remove it for good.

Skills your AI proposes

Sometimes the AI will suggest a skill of its own based on how you work together. Proposed skills show up under Awaiting your approval and stay off until you Approve them — your AI never changes how it behaves without your say-so.
